National geographic park pantone
swbat: focus on color as an element and principle of art by creating a color forecast using pantone from a national park photograph.
Create a shape by using the rectangle or circle tool, then paint your targeted color into the shape.
Repeat the above steps until you have targeted at least 4 different colors in your landscape. Be sure that all of your shapes are the SAME SIZE to create an equal and balanced composition under your photograph as seen in the examples below.
Submitting your work: upload your image titled your name_pantone.jpeg to google classroom.
Please follow this link to see background information on Color Forecasting.
your assignment:
Start by finding a high resolution image from the internet of one of the national parks. This could be an image taken of lakes, canyons, skies, water, trees, mountains, cliffs, sunrises or even nighttime photographs. Save this image to the desktop of your computer.
Next drag and drop the image into Photoshop using a presized template, size file to be uploaded to google classroom in class.
Then, find the eyedropper tool and begin to target specific colors in your image. Try to target at least 4 colors, but feel free to target and produce an area with more color.
