What is a collage? A creative work that resembles such a composition in incorporating various materials or elements, in this case, a digital collage will use multiple images and layers of photographs.
Objective 1: paper collage-SWBAT create their own collage using images from magazines, newspapers, maps, etc. students will cut, glue and overlap images to create an aesthetically pleasing composition.

Photoshop Techniques:
Start by creating a new 8x10" document with 300 resolution.
Begin by opening up a photograph you'd like for the very background image.
Use the same techniques you would with copying and pasting your letter hunt assignment.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. cHANGE THE OPACITY OF AT LEAST 2 LAYERS.
2. DUPLICATE ONE LAYER AT LEAST ONCE.
3. FEATHER THE EDGES OF AN IMAGE AT LEAST ONCE.
4. DELETE THE BACKGROUND OF AN IMAGE USING MAGIC WAND AND ERASER AT LEAST ONCE.
5. use at least 6-8 photographs in your collage.
Change Opacity
Look at the layers menu palette and slide the glider downward to lower the opacity of an image.
Duplicate A Layer
You are required to duplicate at least 1 layer. You are encouraged to duplicate more than 1 layer to create repetition and pattern.

FEATHER THE EDGES
Choosing to feather the edges of an image will help you blend your photographs together.
Choose the rectangular marquee tool and type a number into the feather box.
Draw the rectangle around the image, LEAVING OUT THE EDGES.
Then go to SELECT >> INVERSE >> Click DELETE on your keyboard, your edges will slowly fade.

Magic Wand & eraser
To get rid of the background behind an image, use the MAGIC WAND Tool > Change the tolerance of the wand (the amount of pixels the wand picks up) by changing the number in the tolerance box. Then click the background, click DELETE.
